The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund (STSPMF) rallies support for the cause and donations to the Fund. It collaborates with corporate organisations and interested individuals and groups to fundraise. Fundraising events can be public or private. STSPMF does not engage commercial fund-raisers and keeps to a fundraising efficiency ratio of no more than 30% for all fundraising events, as guided by the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth.
If the fundraising campaign requires a fundraising licence, the Organiser shall obtain the licence through STSPMF before commencement of project.
Private fundraising may tap on the generosity of the fundraiser network of friends and family members or corporate clients and business partners to raise funds. For private fundraising activities, the organiser is not required to apply for fundraising licence.
Fundraisers will need to complete and sign an agreement with us.
STSPMF received its charity status in 2011 and has been an Institution of Public Character (IPC) since January 2012. As an IPC, STSPMF is able to issue tax deductible receipts for qualifying donations to donors.
